  • An industrial solid waste facility in Texas City, Texas
  • Three municipal wastewater treatment plants in the Greater Houston, Texas area
  • A receiving station for portable toilet wastes in Pasadena, Texas
  • A mobile sludge dewatering unit (MSDU)

Environmental Education is a growing part of the GCA effort...

  • Educational materials are provided to local schools, and GCA staff members participate in environmental efforts. 
  • Since 1994, GCA staff members have participated in Community Clean Up projects.
  • 1997- 2002, GCA staff members coordinated the "River, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash" in the Greater Houston Area in cooperation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. 
  • GCA has also sponsored demonstration projects to prove the usefulness of municipal biosolids through direct application to plants or by composting with other materials to produce mulch.
