Three municipal wastewater
treatment plants

A receiving station for portable
toilet wastes in Pasadena, Texas
A mobile sludge dewatering unit
(MSDU)
- Educational materials are provided to local schools, and GCA staff members participate in
environmental efforts.
- Since 1994,
GCA staff members have participated in
Community Clean Up projects.
- 1997- 2002, GCA staff members coordinated the "River, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash" in the
Greater Houston Area in cooperation with the
Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality.

GCA has also sponsored demonstration projects to prove the usefulness of municipal
biosolids through direct application to plants or by composting with other materials to
produce mulch.
