Bayport Facility

The Bayport Facility is located in the Bayport Industrial Complex in the city of Pasadena, Texas. The treatment plant provides wastewater treatment for most of the industries in the Complex.  It also receives wastewater from two municipal sources.  The treated water is then discharged into the Bayport Ship Channel.

Blackhawk Facility

Blackhawk Facility

Located in Friendswood, Texas along Clear Creek, the Blackhawk Regional Facility receives and processes municipal wastewater. The Blackhawk Facility accepts wastewater from four major sources:  the City of Friendswood; Harris County Municipal Utility District (MUD) No. 55; Baybrook MUD No. 1 and part of the City of Houston.

Located on Loop 197 in Texas City, Texas, Campbell Bayou receives Class I, non-hazardous industrial solid waste from contracted industrial participants.

Central Lab

Central Lab

Almost all of GCA’s laboratory work is conducted at a single facility located on the same site as the Bayport Facility. Central Lab is a service group within the overall organization that provides high quality data for regulatory reporting and process control to both the industrial and municipal sides of GCA. Tests capabilities include wet chemistry, bacteriological and sophisticated analysis of metals and organic compounds and pesticides.

40-Acre Facility

40-Acre Facility

Located along Loop 197 in Texas City, Texas, the 40-Acre Facility combines an activated sludge process with an aerated lagoon system to treat wastewater.   The wastewater is first treated in a pure oxygen aeration basin and clarifiers prior to entering the lagoons. 40-Acre currently processes industrial wastewater from industries in the Texas City area.

Odessa South Facility

Odessa South Facility

The Odessa South Facility  is located in Odessa, Texas about 550 miles from GCA's Central Office. Located adjacent to Odessa's Industrial Park is Gulf Coast Authority's Odessa South Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facility.  Designed to treat both municipal sewage and industrial wastewater, the Odessa Facility uses an activated sludge treatment process.

Vince Bayou Receiving Station

Vince Bayou Receiving Station

Conveniently located near the Houston Ship Channel with easy access from the Houston metropolitan area, the Vince Bayou Receiving Station receives portable toilet and septic tank waste as well as non-hazardous wastewater from businesses and industries.  Treatment of the waste is handled by GCA’s nearby Washburn Tunnel Facility.

Washburn Tunnel Facility

Washburn Tunnel Facility

Washburn Tunnel Facility plays a key role in the treatment of wastewater for the Houston Ship Channel and Greater Houston area.  Washburn Tunnel Facility receives both industrial and municipal wastestreams via pipeline, barge and truck.  The treated water is discharged into the Houston Ship Channel.
